من قصة الكاتب اف سكوت في 1920 تأتينا هذه القصة التي تدور احداثها في نيو اورلينز في نهاية الحرب العالمية الاولى 1918 وحتى القرن الـ21 تتبع احداث حياة بنجامين (براد بيت) والذي ولد بظروف غير طبيعية وفي الثامانينات من عمره ويعود بالعمر بشكل عكسي والذي ترك في بيت للممرضات من قبل والده وبينما هو في المنزل يلتقي بالطفله ديزي راقصة باليه (كيت بلونشيت) ومن خلال احداث الفيلم يصل الاثنان لنفس العمر ويحبان بعض لكنهما بقاومان فكرة بأن احدهما يجب ان يكبر صغيراً والاخر يكبر كبيرأ في السن
