قامت شركة ايدوس بتقديم طلب لتسجيل اسم تومب رايدر اندر ورلد الاسم الذي يمكن ان يكون هو عنوان الجزء الثامن من السلسله الناجحه للبطله لارا كروفت والتي تقوم شركة كريستال داينمك بتطويرها حالياً
حسب الاشاعه يقال بأن الجزء الثامن يحكي قصة رزنامة شعب المايا وحول اخر خمسة واخطر ايام من التقويم والتي تدعى وايابي والتي ستسمح بأطلاق القوى الشريرة لتسبب الكوارث والفوضى
الجدير بذكره ان الجزء الثامن من المتوقع صدوره في 2008 على جهاز بلاي ستيشن 3 اكس بوكس 360 واجهزة الحاسب الالي
According to a blog on TradeMork.com Eidos has filed a trademark protection request for Tomb Raider Underworld, a name that could be revealed as the next video-game in the phenomenally successful Lara Croft series. Currently under the working title of Tomb Raider 8, the game is once again under the aegis of Crystal Dynamics.
According to TradeMork.com, Tomb Raider Underworld is "rumoured to be based around the Mayan Calendar. During five nameless and dangerous days at the end of the calendar called Wayeb', portals between the mortal realm and the Underworld dissolve, allowing ill-intending deities to causing disaster and mayhem."
